As the tragedy unfolds in the Ukraine an increasingly massive number of Ukrainian’s have fled the country to Poland and beyond. Part of the world’s response needs to be to support them and also to help position them to rebuild the Ukraine’s economy when peace returns to the nation.
As a small development company we certainly do not have all the answers, but we are looking at what practical steps we can take to help in the situation. We’ve seen some larger companies begin to move towards providing remote work opportunities for Ukrainian refugees and others impacted by the war. This seems like a way that the world can respond positively and have an impact that can have an indirect, but in some cases more direct impact on the war effort.
The economic side of war is important and the world today is working toward maximizing the negative impact on Russia. At the same time, we need to do what we can to strengthen Ukraine’s economy. It’s also one of the best ways we can ease suffering and help individual people see hope for the future.
